OPEN CALL FOR EXTRAS THIS SUNDAY

IN EL RENO FOR FEATURE FILM “13 MINUTES”

 

Freihofer Casting will hold an open call for extras in El Reno, OK this Sunday, November 3, from 12:00-5:00 pm, looking for extras to appear in the feature film “13 MINUTES”. The film is set to begin filming in the El Reno area this fall.

 

The open call will be held in the Auditorium of El Reno High School, 407 W Choctaw, El Reno, OK. Participants are asked to use the west entrance.

 

“13 MINUTES” is about four families in a Heartland town who are tested in a single day when a tornado hits, forcing paths to cross and redefining the meaning of survival.

 

The film is looking for persons aged 10-80 to appear in the film as townspeople, farm hands, school students, TV news crews, motel guests, paramedics, emergency personnel, restaurant patrons and more.  Persons of every ethnicity are encouraged to attend the open call.

 

There are several extras that appear in multiple scenes in the film, including Hispanic male farmhands aged 30-60, Native American couples and African American townspeople.

 

All extras will be paid to appear in the film. Those appearing in storms scenes will receive additional compensation.

 

“We want to include as many people from the El Reno community as possible,” said casting director Chris Freihofer. “This film calls for hundreds of individuals and families, and we would like feature local townspeople prominently.”

 

Those attending the open call will be asked to fill out a simple online form, providing the casting office with your contact information as well as answers to a brief series of questions. Members of the casting office will take your photo and that will be it.

 

“The whole process will only take about 10 minutes,” said Freihofer. “It’s really very easy.”

 

“13 MINUTES” will film from mid-November to mid-December. mostly in the El Reno area. Most extras will only be asked to film for a day or two, while others will be asked to film for multiple days.

 

The film is written and directed by Lindsay Gossling. It is produced by Gossling and Karen Harnisch. It is not yet announced who is starring in the film.

 

Those unable to attend the open call this Sunday can still be considered to appear in the film by sending a photo, plus all contact information (name, email, phone, city/state of residence) as well as height and clothing sizes to thirteenminutes@yahoo.com

 

Those already on the roster with Freihofer Casting need not attend this open call.













 

Boys that ride BMX-style bicycles are needed to appear for three days to appear in highly featured extra roles in the feature film ASKING FOR IT.  The boys will appear in the film November 1, 7 and 8.  Pay is $116/day.  Any day lasting over 8 hours will receive overtime.

 

The boys must be African American, be 11-16 years of age, and have their own BMX-style bike. They do not need to be "expert" riders, but must be very comfortable on the bicycle. One of the riders must be able to ride with an adult standing on the pegs.

 

The boys must be available all three days. Partial availability is not permitted.

 

These boys will be highly featured in very important and uplifting scenes in the film. They wll not be depicted in a negative light.

 

The film stars Ezra Miller (THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER, SUICIDE SQUAD, THE FLASH), Alexandra Shipp (STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, DARK PHOENIX)  Kiersey Clemons (TRANSPARENT, FLATLINERS, EXTANT) and Gabourey Sidibe (PRECIOUS, EMPIRE, AMERICAN HORROR STORY) among others unable to be mentioned.

 

STORYLINE:  After a young woman is sexually assaulted, she links up with an all femme biker gang that travels across the South, exacting revenge in places where the system has failed women, particularly within the context of sexual violence.

 

The film is written and directed by Eamon O'Rourke. It is produced by Ezra Miller and Luke Daniels.

READ AND FOLLOW THE SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY.

Failure to follow the instructions will likely result in your submission being lost, mis-filed or accidentally deleted.

- Please include age and DOB.

- Include all contact information including NAME, PHONE NUMBER, EMAIL ADDRESS and CITY/STATE of residence.

- SEND ALL PICTURES AND INFO IN ONE EMAIL. DO NOT SEND MULTIPLE EMAILS.
